What's the bubble solution made from, and is it safe for allergies or sensitive skin?
Our giant bubble solution is made fresh on the morning of every event, using vegetable glycerine, regular household washing-up liquid (Fairy Liquid), baking powder and water. It's mixed specially for big bubbles rather than being an off-the-shelf supermarket mix, which is what gives it the strength and stretch to make giant bubbles work. It's generally kind to skin, but as with any soap-based product, do let us know in advance if a child has a known skin allergy or very sensitive skin, and we're happy to talk it through beforehand.

Does bubble entertainment make a mess, or stain clothes and surfaces?
Bubbles are just soap and water, so they don't stain, and any solution left behind simply washes away with water. Everyone tends to get a little damp during a hands-on show, and we always tidy up any spilt solution before we pack up.

Will the bubbles make the floor or ground slippery?
A little solution can end up on the ground during a show, so we're careful where we set up and avoid smooth, hard flooring like tiles or polished wood unless it can be protected first. Grass, decking and outdoor paving are all fine, and we'll always talk through your venue with you in advance.

Can you perform indoors as well as outdoors, and what if it rains or is windy?
Yes, but which of our bubble formats we bring depends on your venue. Full bubble shows work best indoors, in a calm, controlled space. Bubblemania and our hands-on bubble stations for children are outdoor-only, since they create such a huge volume of bubbles (and mess!) that they need open air, so for those we do keep an eye on wind and rain. Effects like our bubble-inside-a-bubble, where a person stands inside a giant bubble, need a genuinely draught-free indoor space to work at all. Tell us about your venue when you enquire and we'll help match the right format to it.

Is bubble entertainment safe for babies and toddlers, including around their eyes?
Bubbles are a firm favourite with even the youngest guests. As with any soap-based solution, it's best kept away from eyes, and we keep a close watch on this during every show, especially with babies and toddlers. If any solution does get in the eyes, rinsing with clean water is all that's needed.

What are the 'smoky' bubbles made from, and is that real smoke?
Not real smoke! Our smoke-effect bubbles use a simple, safe mix of propylene glycol, vegetable glycerine and water vapour, the same kind of ingredients used in stage and party fog effects, to create that swirling, misty look inside the bubble. There's no fire, flame or genuine smoke involved.

Are your bubble entertainers insured and DBS checked?
Yes. All our bubble entertainers are DBS checked and full members of Equity, so you can book with confidence for events of any size, from a small birthday to a large public festival.
